Forest Brown Mulch

Brown mulch adds an attractive background to any lawn and garden, its natural colour makes both light and darker coloured plants appear more vibrant.

This colour mulch works well in small areas and the fact that it compliments all shades of green makes it an easy choice for those focused on the aesthetics of their garden.

Forest Brown colour is produced by a blend of iron oxide and carbon black.

Jet Black Mulch

Black mulch is used extensively also in commercial areas due to its long-lasting colour. But, since black attracts and retains sunlight and heat, this mulch should not be used in areas with delicate plants. In cooler regions of the country, black mulch works well, but in hot climates it can affect plant growth.

Our Jet Black Colour Shot is produced using carbon that will nourish your soil as the mulch decomposes.

How to use Colour Shot

WARNING! Apply Colour Shot using several thin coats perpendicular to each other. The colours are all water based dyes containing pigments in suspension that are absorbed by the mulch pieces. However, if applied too thickly, pigment may dry on the surface of the timber, and be rubbed off and washed on to surrounding elements such as rocks and driveways, creating permanent stains.
